안녕하세요 manager selection과 관련하여 질의 드립니다.

위의 문장은 Mock exam의 해답 문장입니다.

슈웨져 82p 책에도 동일한 문장은 나오는데요.

The smaller the difference in distribution mean 와  the wider the dispersion of the distributions에 대한 차이가 잘 이해되지 않습니다.

아울러, 예시로 나온 Module 퀴즈에서 

2번 difference in expected cost between Type I and Type II error is higher the greater the perceived difference between the distribution of skilled and unskilled managers. 가 답인데, 여기서 얘기하는 the greater the perceived difference between the distribution of skilled and unskilled managers가 the wider the dispersion of the distributions를 얘기하는 건가요?

3번에서도 a return distribution of skilled managers that is not distinct from the return distribution of unskilled manager implies low opportunity cost of not hiring a skilled manager. 가 답입니다만, 

is not distinct 한다는게, The smaller the difference in distribution mean 를 얘기하는 건지 the wider the dispersion of the distributions를 얘기하는 건지 명쾌하질 않네요.
